(Apologies, btw, for the angsty journal last time. Here's some more to replace the old stuff!
I reconciled with my dad about a bunch of stuff. Still a little tension there, but it's all good. I had my birthday, and it went off without a hitch. We went on a long-ass roadtrip to this college up in the mountains. TEN HOUR CARTRIP. KILLED MY SOUL!
While we were at the college, (which is gorgeous, by the by. Very pretty campus, and smack dab in the middle of the mountains. Made me feel at home.
Right at the last second he threw open the door for me, considering how much crap I was carrying in my arms, and I ran right into it. I dropped like a stone, and bent my ankle the wrong way in doing so. I heard a faint crack noise, but hurried to pick myself up despite the surge of pain.
I tried to put it out of my mind for the rest of the trip, but five hours later, when we had reached home and I had managed to pull my shoe off, the evidence spoke for itself. My ankle looked like someone had glued a baseball to it, and a bit of a bruise was starting to form.
Don't worry, it was only a fracture, but it hurt like all get out, and it still hurts without Advil to help. I got a temporary cast from the clinic we visited, but I'm going to get a more permanent one tomorrow from the orthopedist. I got a cheap pair of crutches to hobble around on, and I should be good in, oh, five to six weeks.
If only I lived in a single story house. As it is, I'm having trouble navigating across a room, much less up and down the stairs. And my room's on the second floor. Ditto for my bathroom.
It's been frustrating to say the least. I am so wiped out from just hobbling around on crutches, which I can't even use on the stairs. I feel weak and invalid, and without the crutches I have to hop around like an idiot. If I must put any weight at all on my leg, I limp around like Igor.
But whatever.
Onto a more cheerful note! I have a twitter page now, after resisting for as long as possible. Just look for inuzrule, or type twitter . com / inuzrule in (sans spaces, of course). I love getting replies and direct messages, so feel free to drop me a line!
Welp, that's all for now! So long folks, until we meet again.
(PS: I can't change my mood from "shame" for some reason. My mood's more "hurt" than anything.)

The tide rises, the tide falls,
The twilight darkens, the curlew calls;
Along the sea-sands damp and brown
The traveler hastens toward the town,
And the tide rises, the tide falls...

I'm sorry I did not comment on your sonnet back in December; it was just such a good sonnet, and an excellent parody besides, that I was quite speechless.
